Abstract

Coordination between environmental administration and disaster management is a crucial element in achieving effective and sustainable governance. Environmental degradation, climate change, and the increasing frequency of natural disasters require strong cross-sectoral and inter-institutional synergy in public policy planning, implementation, and evaluation. This article aims to analyze the forms and mechanisms of coordination between environmental administration and disaster management from a good governance perspective. The study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review of regulations, policy documents, and relevant academic studies. The findings indicate that good governance principles—such as transparency, accountability, participation, effectiveness, and collaboration—play a significant role in strengthening inter-agency coordination. Effective coordination not only enhances disaster mitigation and response efforts but also supports sustainable environmental management oriented toward public interest. Therefore, strengthening institutional frameworks and coordination mechanisms based on good governance is a strategic necessity in environmental administration and disaster management.
