Analisis Pengelolaan Sampah dalam Mengurangi Risiko Bencana Banjir di Kota Bandung

AbstractWaste management problems remain one of the environmental issues contributing to the increasing risk of urban flooding in Bandung due to clogged drainage systems and river flows. This study aims to analyze waste management efforts in reducing urban flood risk. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach through the analysis of journals, regulations, and relevant official data. The findings indicate that waste management in Bandung still faces several challenges, including high waste volume, limited waste processing facilities, weak environmental supervision, and low community participation. These conditions cause urban drainage systems to function ineffectively during high rainfall, triggering floods in several areas. Therefore, strengthening waste management policies through improved supervision, greater community participation, and collaboration between the government and society is necessary to support flood mitigation and sustainable environmental development.
