Abstract

Environmental administration plays an important role in strengthening regional resilience against various disaster threats, both natural and human-induced. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of environmental administration in supporting disaster mitigation, preparedness, and post-disaster recovery efforts. The research employs a qualitative approach through literature review of policies, regulations, and environmental administrative practices related to disaster management. The findings indicate that environmental administration integrated with development planning, natural resource management, and community participation can significantly enhance regional resilience to disaster risks. However, several challenges remain, including weak inter-agency coordination, limited resources, and low public awareness of sustainable environmental management. Therefore, strengthening policies, improving institutional capacity, and fostering collaboration among government, communities, and the private sector are necessary to establish an effective and sustainable environmental administration system in disaster management.
