About the Journal

Public Management and Public Value is an academic journal in the field of public administration that focuses on the development of public management scholarship and the creation of public value. The journal provides a forum for theoretical, empirical, and conceptual studies examining how public organizations formulate and implement strategies, strengthen organizational capabilities, manage leadership and public workforces, improve institutional performance and accountability, and transform public services.

The journal covers six major areas: strategic public management and administrative reform; public strategy implementation and evaluation; organizational and dynamic capabilities; strategic leadership and public workforce management; public value, performance, and accountability; and collaborative management and public service transformation.

Public Management and Public Value encourages interdisciplinary, comparative, and context-sensitive research that contributes to the advancement of public management theory and provides practical insights for public organizations, policymakers, public managers, and other actors involved in the creation of public value.

The journal is published four times a year in February, May, August, and November.
