Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Privacy Statement

Public Management and Public Value (PMPV) respects the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and other users of the journal platform. Personal information collected through the journal's website and editorial system is used only for legitimate scholarly publishing, administrative, and communication purposes and is managed with appropriate attention to confidentiality and data protection.

1. Personal Information Collected

PMPV may collect information such as names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs, correspondence details, and other information voluntarily provided through registration, manuscript submission, peer review, or communication with the journal. Information related to manuscripts and editorial activities may also be retained as part of the scholarly publishing record.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

Personal information is primarily used to administer manuscript submissions, editorial assessment, peer review, publication, indexing, archiving, and communication between authors, reviewers, editors, and journal administrators. PMPV takes reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse of personal information. Access to information associated with manuscripts, editorial correspondence, and peer-review activities is limited to individuals who require such access for legitimate editorial or publishing responsibilities. Reviewer identities and confidential manuscript information are managed in accordance with the journal's peer-review and publication ethics policies.

4. Sharing of Information

Personal information is not sold or used for unrelated commercial purposes. Where necessary for scholarly publishing, limited information may be processed or shared with authorized publishing services, DOI registration agencies, indexing services, preservation systems, or other infrastructure supporting journal publication and dissemination. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or in response to legitimate investigations concerning research or publication integrity.

5. Data Retention

Information associated with submissions, peer review, editorial decisions, and published articles may be retained as necessary to preserve the integrity and continuity of the scholarly record. Other personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably required for journal operations, legal obligations, technical administration, or archival purposes.

6. User Rights and Data Accuracy

Users may request access to or correction of their personal information maintained by the journal. Requests concerning deletion or modification of personal information will be considered subject to applicable legal requirements and the journal's responsibility to maintain accurate editorial, publication, and scholarly records.
